Hey! it's been a long time!

Hey Y'all, 

It's been FOREVER and a day since I have posted, I wonder if you guys are still out there.

How have you guys been? Is anyone still blogging? 

I just felt like I wanted to start blogging again to get some of my thoughts out. So much has happened in these past years. As you guys know I started my own business called Beauté Brownie, curated lippes for women of color and Merch for inspiration. 

Being a entrepreneur has been fun...when your just loving what you do it's really enjoyable. It hasn't been easy though. I feel like when I started in 2013 it was so easy to do things on social media but now it has become saturated everyone is starting a business. These days it's so many avenues to market yourself and get product out there. We got Reels, Tik Tok, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, clubhouse etc.  

It's so much competition when it comes to getting your brand out there. It's also a good thing too because you have multiple ways to market yourself but it's so hard to keep up with the trends and the newness that's happening. 

I guess since I'm getting older I don't want to do all of that. I been one who always wanted to play the background and just establish a business the old fashioned way. 

I see so many brands pop out of the blue and not know who the owners are. Maybe I'm wrong but I feel like when it comes to black owned brands there is much work that has to be done on our end to be successful. 

Lately I have been discouraged and non motivated when it comes to business and I need to get out of this rut. Anyways, I'm happy to be back and express, I know I won't post everyday but I want to try to keep to update you guys on business, apartment decorating, my favorite candles right now... just anything and everything.
